Usually, every interview starts with the same question in the same pattern but how MNS is different from others, and how exclusively you have to prepare for the MNS exam interview in one go?

Dress Code 

Dressing forms an important part of the personality of an individual and a suitable dress is very necessary, particularly when it comes to interviews and other formal occasions. With a smart shirt or a respectable top or even a salwar-kurta, or jeans-Kurti, you can wear formal trousers/jeans, you can wear sports shoes or formal shoes as you wish. You must compliment your dress with proper formal shoes, which must be black, wear black socks (in western attires), do not go for heeled shoes, it is appropriate to only have a minimum heel. If you wear a western formal (optional), you should put on a necktie. It is also permissible for sarees. Wear clothes that are comfortable for you. There is no need to wear official screening clothing, but when you have to appear in front of the board members, it's easier and safer. For Psychological Tests: You can wear something decent in this as per your wish, like Western or Indian. 

 SELECTION PROCEDURE 

  • The selection of an applicant for military nursing would be based on the merit of the candidate. 
  • A written objective form of analysis will be performed annually at some selected centers in February/March. 
  • In the month of March/May each year, qualified applicants will be shortlisted for an interview at selected centers. 
  • Candidates must be declared medically fit by the Military Medical Officers' Medical Board.
  • Candidates will be named for merit-listed applicants based on the interview and medical health for B.Sc (NSG) Course. 
  • Students undergoing B.sc nursing education will be given the Permanent and Short Service Commission at a ratio of 60:40 on the basis of merit. 
  • A minimum 5-year bond is performed by the students of the Short Service Commission to participate in the Military Nursing Service to complete the course successfully. 

IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS 

Apart from the dress and proper planning, documents also play a crucial role in the interview. A candidate must carry given documents at the time of the interview otherwise they are a chance that the candidate could be disqualified from the MNS interview. 

List of documents required – 

  • Call letter/ admit Card 
  • 10th Marksheet and Certificate 
  • 12th Marksheet and Certificate · National Certificate (PAN and Aadhar Card) 
  • Character Certificate 
  • Domicile Certificate (Address Proof) 
  • Date of Birth Certificate 
  • NCC Certificate (not necessary) 
  • Other Gaming Certificate (if you have) 
  • Train and bus ticket allowance 

 MNS INTERVIEW TIPS 

  • The 2021 MNS entrance test for personal interviews and medical tests will be called by nursing applicants who have passed the MNS written examination by the authorities. 
  • Candidates will receive a call letter on their registered mail ID for personal interviews. They must keep a printout of it and report it to the incident site after the specifics are stated in the call letter. 
  • Applicants may have to stay in the hospital for medical evaluation for more than one day if necessary. While traveling Allowance and Special Allowances will be paid by the officers, it is recommended that candidates retain adequate funds to keep the process in mind. 
  • The candidates have to pick their preferred college from the six colleges listed below in order of priority.

The interviewer often begins with general details relevant to your personal information, such as your name, address, father's name, etc., and other questions. If your parents are in the context of the defense, the officers may further challenge it.

Afterward, they can ask you about MNS (Military Nursing Service) after personal information.

 Apart from the knowledge of MNS, the interviewer or the board members can check and evaluate your academic knowledge. 

They can ask questions related to your subjective knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and also General Knowledge regarding the growth made in policies and developments in the military section for the serving candidates and aspirants. 

TIPS FOR THE INTERVIEW DAY OF MNS INTERVIEW 2021 

 The aspirant should be well determined and confident while appearing for the interview. The answers to the basic questions like – why you chose this field? How you can do good while being in this field should be there in your mind and you should present these without any hesitation. 

Make sure this is a personal interview, so your answers will be asked about personal life issues and how you overcome those problems. In a loud and clear way, you must talk. As a military nurse, your power can be illustrated by your attitude and speech when facing such daunting conditions in delivering unlimited treatment to Army personnel. This needs to be communicated by the applicants to the officers present in the MNS interview.

Your body language should convey a positive message and it has to be well-posed with a high voice without fumbling.

Be well prepared for the interview. Do practice while standing in front of the mirror. Don’t grasp the answers for the known question, try to be more fluent and direct while giving your answer.
