HOW MANY HOURS OF STUDY IS REQUIRED TO CRACK MNS 2020?

A question that is often asked by MNS aspirants is – “How many hours should I study to crack MNS?”
MNS is one of the most coveted and anticipated exams for the female aspirants every year. This exam enables students to seek admissions to the Nursing colleges across the nation and fulfill their dreams of becoming successful Nurses in the Indian Army. But the question is how far does our intent imitate our actions? Not many a times. But for someone who wants to crack MNS, not only get through it, but also manage to get a good MNS score, must work extremely hard towards it. This comes with dedication, discipline, and laser focus.
Here we are looking at the ideal study hours that are required to crack MNS examination. Does the number of study hours really matter in MNS preparation? Are there any minimum hours you need to study each day to crack MNS?

HOW MANY HOURS OF STUDY IS REQUIRED TO CRACK MNS?

On an average, a daily 10-12 hrs is considered good for MNS preparation. The time you need to study will differ depending upon your IQ level, whether you are a quick learner or takes time to absorb things. What matters a lot is the quality study that you do and not the number of hours.
When students start preparing, they usually start off with a study planner customized as per their daily schedule while managing their classes, board exam preparation as well as MNS exam preparation. The most important question that arises here is how much time to dedicate for MNS exam preparation.
Experts suggest that students must allocate time and dedicatedly concentrate first on preparing for their board examinations. Once the board exams are done, they can start off with their MNS exam preparation. However, while preparing for board exams, since the syllabus is 80% comprising of NCERT for MNS too, you can allocate 1 hour to study for MNS while preparing for board exams.
Post board exams, one needs to allocate at least 10-12 hours a day for MNS exam preparation.

•Avoid long study hours if it results in fatigue, small breaks after 45–60 minutes of study can improve your productivity.
•If you are starting the MNS preparation late, when only less than a few months remain, then you may need to put more effort (number of hours) into your studies.
•The best thing to follow in your MNS preparation is – Don’t focus on hours. Focus on topics.
•Some topics take less time to complete, some take more. So numbers of hours can vary. Plan out your schedule – What topics have to be completed today, how they are to be completed, if you do not complete a topic today then how it should be managed with tomorrow’s studies, etc.

THERE ARE NO MINIMUM STUDY HOURS FOR MNS NURSING PREPARATION

During MNS Nursing preparation, you have to study consistently, whether that is learning concepts or solving problems. But your study hours can be flexible depending on your strength and weakness for the subject.
When your mind says it’s enough to study a subject for the day, it’s okay to move on to another subject. The adjustment is fine as long as you are finishing your daily work and assignments.
To clear MNS Nursing a very good rank, you need to focus on time management and pattern of solving questions. This can be only achieved by serious dedicated practice and questions solving. As long as you are achieving your daily/weekly goals, the number of hours are not that important.

Following are some points around which you can prepare your MNS Nursing preparation study planner :-

•Start your day early. As early as 5 am. At this time of the day, you are going to study those topics which require utmost attention of yours, perhaps challenging/difficult topics. Continue to study for 2-3 hours with a 5-minute break after every hour.

•Take a break of an hour or so to finish your morning routine.

•From 10 in the morning, start off to study until 1 pm a topic you find to be time-consuming. Avoid taking breaks during this slot.

•You can have a prolonged break for lunch, as long as 2 hours after the continuous studying from morning.

•Once you are done with your break, you can start off from 3.30-4 pm until 6.30-7 pm. Here you can catch up on topics that are easy and quick to grasp. Or can solve some previous years’ papers or mock test series, creating the exact exam scenario and solving papers. In a day, try to solve at least 80-90 MCQs under the stipulated time.

•After this, you can have your dinner and get back to studying for the next 2 hours. Here you can study the easy topics, take a 10-minute break.

•Once done with the break, you are going to study for the last 2 hours of the day. This slot will comprise of easiest topics, revisions, activities involving fewer efforts.

•The last and most important tip is that one must catch up on some sound sleep, your brain needs equal time to rest and prepare for the next day.

•Don’t let activities such as social media browsing, friends, and other extra-curriculars divide your attention. Remind yourself of your dream medical college, perfect MNS score, and work towards it.
